Senior QA Manager – Fully Remote

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential mobile gaming company seeking a hands-on Senior QA Manager to join their team on a fully remote basis. This role focuses on ensuring every release of a major mobile puzzle game meets the highest quality standards, from early concept through global launch.

As the quality owner for one of their flagship titles, you'll drive release quality, establish scalable QA processes, advance test automation, and collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and external QA partners to deliver an exceptional player experience.

Note: Qualified candidates will be expected to complete an assignment as part of the selection process. Candidates should be based in the European Union.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality releases through effective test planning, execution, regression testing, and staged rollout support
• Define practical QA coverage for devices, OS versions, store builds, SDKs, ads, in-app purchases, analytics, and remote configuration
• Identify, prioritize, and document issues with clear, actionable bug reports
• Drive QA automation initiatives and continuously improve testing efficiency and coverage
• Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and external QA partners
• Monitor live quality, investigate crashes, ANRs, performance issues, and prevent regressions
• Provide clear release readiness assessments and go/no-go recommendations
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, release reports, and changelogs using project management tools
• Champion a quality-first mindset across the organization

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of mobile or instant games QA experience as your primary domain, ideally on live-operated free-to-play titles
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with in-app purchase flows, ad mediation, ATT/consent frameworks, and attribution SDKs
• Practical experience with QA automation, Unity games, and modern QA tools and workflows
• Experience with crash reporting and monitoring tools (e.g., Firebase, Crashlytics, DataDog) and strong understanding of mobile stability issues including crashes, ANRs, and freezes
• Proven experience building or owning a mobile QA automation framework (e.g., Appium, Unity Test Framework)
• Strong understanding of mobile game telemetry, analytics validation, and event tracking
• Experience working with external QA vendors or distributed QA teams
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and modern AI tools to improve testing, documentation, and QA efficiency
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and English communication skills
• Highly organized, proactive, and passionate about delivering exceptional player experiences

Pay
