Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential technology client in their search for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer based in Canada. This fully remote organization develops analytics software for industrial sectors and maintains a collaborative, engineering-focused culture.
We're seeking a senior engineer who is passionate about crafting exceptional software with an emphasis on elegance, extensibility, and maintainability. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full technology stack while taking on leadership responsibilities and mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve complex software systems across both frontend and backend codebases
- Own features end-to-end, from conception through deployment
- Build and deploy generative AI infrastructure and applications
- Craft visually appealing user interfaces using TypeScript and React
- Develop robust backend functionality using JVM languages or Python
- Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback
- Collaborate through pair-programming and other team acceleration techniques
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team scaling efforts
- Advocate for unit testing, continuous integration, and elegant technical solutions
- Work with databases such as Postgres or MySQL
- Contribute to distributed computing and cloud platform initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, software engineering, or related field
- Substantial professional experience in software development with a solid record of designing and building complex systems over multiple years
- Expertise in building large React applications with TypeScript
- Expertise in one or more backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Python
- Experience building and deploying generative AI infrastructure and/or applications
- Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL
- Proven leadership skills with ability to guide and mentor junior engineers
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities in cross-functional team environments
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Authorization to work in Canada (visa sponsorship is not available)
