Senior Full Stack Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in their search for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their Central Operations team in London. Our client is a fast-growing, profitable company building best-in-class consumer finance technology used by thousands of customers daily.

The Central Operations team works across multiple product lines, building internally-facing web applications and intelligent automations that help operational teams deliver exceptional customer outcomes at scale. This is a high-impact role where you'll have genuine ownership over features that are used every day by operations agents, and where your work will help shape both tooling and technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack features for internal operations tools using Python and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Design and implement robust automations that help operations teams scale efficiently
• Work closely with Product, Data Science, and Analytics teams to deploy AI and LLM solutions where they add real value
• Replace or enhance existing systems with tailored solutions built to meet specific operational needs
• Contribute to technical decision-making and help evolve the team's engineering practices
• Collaborate with operations teams to understand their challenges and build tools that genuinely solve problems
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for clean code and testing

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• Solid experience with Python in web application contexts, including frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Strong engineering fundamentals: design patterns, testing practices, clean code principles, and code review skills
• Previous experience working in product-focused teams
• Collaborative mindset with a genuine desire to learn and contribute to team knowledge
• Interest in learning about and experimenting with Generative AI and LLMs

Desirable but not required:

• Active use of AI coding tools like Copilot, Cursor, or Claude in daily development work
• Exposure to Domain Driven Design, message-driven systems, and event sourcing
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
• SQL proficiency and comfort navigating complex data schemas
• Experience shipping containerized software using Argo, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
• CSS skills and exposure to Tailwind
