Finance Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization based in London that requires an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of their finance operations. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility around office attendance, with the expectation that you can travel to the London office when needed.

Our client operates in the high-performance trading technology space, supporting a growing business with multiple entities across different geographies. This role will suit a qualified accountant who thrives on building robust financial processes while contributing strategic insight to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete month-end close process and prepare comprehensive management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for leadership review
• Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and produce cash flow forecasts to support business planning
• Take full ownership of the quarterly group VAT return process
• Independently manage the year-end statutory audit and contribute to annual accounts preparation under FRS 102
• Manage the AR and AP team, setting clear objectives and developing team capabilities
• Handle multi-entity accounting including accurate inter-company transactions across parent and subsidiary structures
• Maintain and continuously improve finance systems, identifying efficiency opportunities
• Provide financial modelling and risk analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, solicitors, and bankers
• Support external investment and funding activities as required

What We're Looking For

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant
• Several years of experience in a small to mid-size business finance function
• Direct hands-on experience owning month-end and year-end close processes
• Proven experience managing junior team members
• Experience running accounting for multiple business entities, including parent and subsidiary structures
• Track record managing regulated entities across different geographies
• Independent ownership of year-end audit processes
• Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems is desirable, though system-adaptable candidates will be considered
• Existing right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available for this position)
