Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential organization in Berlin seeking a Senior Financial Controller to take ownership of financial planning and analysis. You will be a key player in the finance organization, working closely with accounting and management teams.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Supporting monthly and annual financial closings according to HGB standards
- Preparing forecasts, budgets, and scenario analyses
- Serving as Finance Business Partner for accounting and internal stakeholders
- Creating and monitoring cash flow planning and projections
- Analyzing plan-versus-actual variances and deriving actionable recommendations
- Developing and enhancing financial reporting, calculations, and KPIs
- Optimizing controlling processes and supporting the expansion of BI infrastructure
- Ensuring data quality and advancing relevant finance systems and interfaces
What We're Looking For
Our client needs someone with strong financial controlling foundations and the ability to drive strategic decision-making through data.
Required qualifications:
- Completed degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or equivalent commercial training
- Several years of professional experience in financial controlling
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, particularly HGB
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and BI systems
- Strong analytical capabilities and affinity for numbers
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented work approach
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial matters clearly
- German at C1/C2 level and English at minimum B2 level
