Senior Digital Project Manager / Platform (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital agency in Köln that is looking for a Senior Digital Project Manager with platform expertise. Our client works across web, e-commerce, apps, and online marketing, delivering digital products in an agile environment. This is a hybrid role based in Köln.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage multiple client projects, overseeing scope, timeline, and budget while maintaining strategic oversight
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, driving digital strategies from concept through execution
• Apply both agile and traditional project management methodologies as appropriate for each engagement
• Act as a problem-solver for your team and clients, developing tailored solutions to complex challenges
• Support business development activities, including pitches and new client acquisition
• Utilize project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack) and integrate AI solutions meaningfully into workflows
• Present ideas and strategies in compelling ways that engage stakeholders and team members

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in digital or IT project management, ideally with a focus on platform projects
• Strong understanding of how digital products and platforms are built across web, e-commerce, apps, and online marketing
• Proven ability to manage client relationships as an equal partner and win stakeholders through in-person engagement
• Experience with business development, pitches, and new client acquisition
• Proficiency with standard project management and collaboration tools
• Self-motivated, empathetic, and highly organized working style
• Very strong German language skills (C1 minimum) as current projects are conducted primarily in German; good English skills are a plus
• Openness to using AI and integrating it into daily project work
