Senior Data Scientist – AI Tooling

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology organization in their search for a Senior Data Scientist specializing in AI tooling. This London-based role sits within a team that transforms insights into action by building intelligent tools and decision systems for go-to-market teams.

Our client is moving beyond traditional dashboards to create LLM and agent-powered workflows that actively perform work—researching accounts, summarizing interactions, drafting outreach, identifying risks, and generating documentation. This allows customer-facing teams to focus on high-value strategic conversations.

This is a high-ownership position for someone who thrives in ambiguity and is energized by solving complex real-world problems with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and ship AI-powered internal tools for sales and customer success use cases, including account research, next-best-action recommendations, renewal propensity modeling, pipeline risk detection, and post-call summarization
• Own the full product lifecycle from problem definition and data modeling through to production-ready tools, including writing Python backends and React frontends
• Prototype rapidly with end users, then productionize quickly to iterate and deliver measurable impact
• Instrument tools for adoption tracking and outcome measurement, focusing on real usage and business metrics such as improved win rates, conversion, and expansion
• Create documentation, run enablement sessions, and help leadership operationalize new tooling across teams
• Partner closely with GTM systems teams to define problems, design solutions, and measure impact from prototype to production

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record of applied data science with measurable go-to-market impact—you've shipped models or tools that moved metrics like conversion, cycle time, or retention
• Experience building LLM/ML applications, including familiarity with RAG, prompt and tool design, vector search, evaluation frameworks, and leveraging AI for development
• Excellent SQL skills and fluency in Python or R, with experience applying analytical and statistical methods to business problems
• Experience with orchestration tools such as DBT or Airflow for deploying reliable data workflows
• Strong communication skills and empathy—ability to translate complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborative product mindset with comfort working closely with Sales and Success teams to turn ambiguity into clear deliverables
• End-to-end ownership mentality, from early-stage prototyping through production deployment
