About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in their search for a DevOps Engineer to join their technical team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Hamburg, Germany, with flexible working arrangements available.
Our client operates global cloud infrastructure that supports product development, data engineering, and AI initiatives. You'll work in a collaborative environment where infrastructure reliability and scalability directly enable meaningful solutions in the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and improve global AWS infrastructure, with particular focus on ECS, RDS, and supporting services
- Manage infrastructure through Terraform, contributing to reusable, maintainable, and version-controlled infrastructure as code
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and container deployment processes to support reliable, secure, and efficient software delivery
- Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and contribute to improvements in reliability, security, and cloud cost efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional product teams, data engineering, and AI teams to deliver effective infrastructure solutions
- Contribute to infrastructure improvement initiatives and maintain operational documentation
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Hands-on experience working with production infrastructure on AWS, ideally including ECS, RDS, and supporting services
- Practical experience with Terraform, including modules, state management, and infrastructure changes through version control and code review
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications, and production deployments
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery, high-availability configurations, and safe database migrations
- Ability to independently deliver well-defined infrastructure tasks, explain technical trade-offs, and contribute to architectural discussions
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with English proficiency at C1 level
- Interest in using AI-assisted tools responsibly to support infrastructure development, testing, and troubleshooting
