Senior Business Controller Production (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential electronics manufacturing organization in Berlin seeking a Senior Business Controller for Production operations. In this role, you will serve as the central interface between production, project management, and finance teams.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and preparing production and project data, deriving actionable recommendations for operational improvements
• Partnering closely with production leadership and project managers as a controlling sparring partner
• Tracking budgets, costs, and project progress including variance analysis and reporting
• Supporting product cost calculation as well as budget and forecast processes
• Identifying optimization potential in production and project processes and actively contributing to their implementation
• Contributing to the development of reporting frameworks within the SAP S/4HANA environment
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders across production, project management, and finance functions

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a candidate with substantial production controlling experience who can bridge technical operations and financial planning:

• Several years of experience in production controlling within a manufacturing environment, with solid understanding of production KPIs, cost structures, and manufacturing processes
• Proven track record analyzing production and project data, conducting variance analysis, and partnering with production leadership, project management, and finance to derive sound recommendations
• Hands-on experience with product costing, material and order calculation, as well as budget, forecast, and cost control processes
• Strong proficiency in SAP (ideally S/4HANA) and Excel; experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is advantageous
• Excellent analytical capabilities, structured and independent working style, and the ability to identify and implement process optimization opportunities
• Fluent German language skills (C1/C2 level) are mandatory, as the role requires close collaboration with German-speaking specialists and managers; good English proficiency is also required
