About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential impact-focused accelerator organization in Hamburg. Our client supports early-stage sustainable startups across sectors including travel technology, future of work, and mobility. They run an intensive six-month acceleration program that provides tailored workshops, weekly mentorship, and hands-on growth support to help impact-driven founders achieve market readiness and scale.

We are seeking a Founders Associate to join their core team and play a critical role in developing and executing their acceleration program. This is a high-responsibility position ideal for someone who thrives in startup environments and wants to build rather than maintain.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a sparring partner and right hand to the founding team on strategic and operational matters
• Proactively support leadership across all areas of day-to-day business operations
• Improve processes, address ad-hoc challenges, and take on responsibility quickly
• Manage and control ongoing publicly funded projects, including budgeting and reporting
• Prepare interim reports and financial planning documents
• Manage partnerships at both operational and strategic levels
• Build and optimize internal systems as the organization scales

What We're Looking For

• Completed vocational training or degree in business administration or related commercial field
• Passion for the startup, venture capital, or accelerator ecosystem
• Strong interest in market trends, particularly impact investing and climate technology
• Ownership mindset with a can-do attitude and love for challenges
• Highly results-oriented with ability to work independently
• Energetic self-starter who wants to build and shape, not just administer
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Slack, Google Suite, and similar productivity tools through daily use
• Clear and empathetic communicator who values both performance and humanity
• Ideally, relevant experience in an accelerator, incubator, startup founding role, or venture capital environment
• German language proficiency required for this Hamburg-based role

This role is not suitable if you: prefer narrowly defined positions with established processes, enjoy advising more than executing, or dislike detail-oriented work.

Role Details

This is a project-funded position supported by public financing, with an initial three-year contract term. The organization values output over input—flexible working arrangements are available as long as performance objectives are met. You'll have high responsibility from day one with a clear development path from Founders Associate toward Chief of Staff as the organization grows.
