Account Director SEO – F/H – CDI

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential media agency in Paris seeking an experienced SEO Account Director to lead complex client portfolios and drive technical excellence.

In this role, you will take strategic and operational ownership of high-value accounts across e-commerce, international, and multi-market environments. You'll structure and manage long-term SEO roadmaps aligned with client business objectives, serving as the primary agency point of contact to ensure deliverable quality and measurable performance improvements.

You will lead strategic client committees in a senior advisory capacity, identifying growth opportunities including upsell potential and new SEO/GEO initiatives. A key aspect of the role involves translating technical recommendations for non-expert stakeholders across marketing, e-commerce, and digital leadership teams.

You'll mentor and develop SEO consultants on your accounts, contribute to the formalization of team methodologies and best practices, and participate in innovation initiatives around generative engine optimization and AI-applied SEO.

Cross-functional collaboration is essential—you'll coordinate with paid search, data, and analytics teams to deliver integrated search strategies, and contribute to pitches and RFP responses for strategic accounts.

What We're Looking For

We require 6-10 years of SEO experience, with significant agency experience managing enterprise-level accounts. You must have strong command of SEO fundamentals including technical SEO (crawl, indexation, Core Web Vitals), semantic optimization, and performance analysis.

Proficiency with industry-standard tools is essential: Screaming Frog, Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and GA4. Development expertise is not required, but familiarity with generative engine optimization, LLM impacts, and evolving SERP features (AI Overviews, Search Generative Experience) is valuable.

You must demonstrate strong client management skills with the ability to engage senior advertiser stakeholders confidently. We're looking for natural leadership on accounts—someone who takes initiative without requiring constant validation.

Excellent communication skills are critical: you should be able to make complex technical recommendations accessible to non-technical audiences. Professional English fluency (written and spoken) is required.

Differentiating factors include experience with multi-market or multi-brand environments, pre-sales and pitch experience, and genuine interest in search transformation driven by AI and integrated search experiences.
