About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global language services and technology organization in their search for a Director, Business Development based in Paris. This is a pure hunter role focused on opening net new corporate accounts across France and broader European markets.

Our client operates at the intersection of language services, creative production, digital transformation, and AI-powered workflows. Following a strategic acquisition in the creative studio space, they now serve corporate clients across sectors including luxury, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, life sciences, finance, and professional services.

This role suits a commercially driven professional who combines structured B2B sales discipline with genuine curiosity about creative, digital, and linguistic services.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a pipeline of net new business across the French and European corporate market
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers including CMOs, Heads of Communication, Procurement Directors, Creative Directors, and Heads of Production
  • Develop tailored pitches and proposals drawing on translation and localization, interpretation, technology and AI solutions, digital and multimedia services, creative production (artistic direction, VFX, motion design), and globalization consulting
  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including RFP/RFI responses, commercial negotiation, and contract finalization
  • Collaborate with internal solutions, operations, and creative teams to design compelling client-specific offerings
  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums
  • Contribute market intelligence on trends, competitor movements, and emerging client needs
  • Report pipeline, forecast, and activity accurately using CRM systems

What We're Looking For

  • 3–7 years of B2B sales experience with a strong track record in new business development
  • Experience selling complex, multi-service solutions to corporate clients — ideally in creative services, digital production, marketing services, SaaS/tech, or professional services
  • Proven ability to close six-figure deals and manage multi-stakeholder, long-cycle sales processes
  • Exposure to or genuine interest in creative industries (luxury, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, advertising) is a strong differentiator
  • Experience navigating large organizations — identifying budget holders, managing procurement processes, and building internal champions
  • Hunter profile: proactive, autonomous, energized by opening new doors
  • Ability to sell both transactional and strategic engagements depending on client maturity
  • Strong discovery and consultative selling skills — listens before pitching
  • Comfortable discussing technology, AI, and workflow solutions as well as creative services
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both French (native or bilingual, essential) and English (fluent, business-level, essential)
  • Commercially rigorous with accurate pipeline management and disciplined forecasting
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Languages, or a creative discipline — or equivalent professional experience
