About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential client in the EV charging infrastructure sector who is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join their European operations. This is a strategic technical role supporting the growth of electric mobility solutions across the UK and broader European markets.
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is conducting the search for this position. You'll work remotely within the UK while supporting customers and partners across Europe, with travel up to 50% (predominantly UK and Ireland).
Responsibilities
- Lead all technical aspects of pre-sale customer engagement, including technology evaluations, site assessments, and architecture reviews
- Serve as a key technical advisor for electric vehicle charging infrastructure deployments, including light, medium, and heavy-duty fleet solutions
- Develop and deliver technical presentations to partners and customers, consulting on integration of charging infrastructure into fleet operations
- Provide expertise on energy management and battery storage solutions, considering vehicle charging capabilities, dwell time, routing, and scheduling requirements
- Develop responses to RFPs and tenders, including statements of work and technical proposals
- Deliver product training and "best practice" engineering recommendations for software features, API implementations, and third-party platform integrations
- Maintain deep knowledge of local electrical installation codes and standards related to electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE)
- Identify and proactively resolve technical issues affecting customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with product management to align development with customer and market needs
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent field
- Minimum 8 years of combined experience in technical sales or technical consulting roles
- Background should include expertise in areas such as electrical engineering, telecommunications, information technology, software development, or technical writing
- Excellent presentation, oral, and written communication skills in English
- Strong customer-facing abilities and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated critical thinker with effective time management capabilities
- Desired experience: fleet vehicle operations, high-power solutions, battery energy storage, or large facility implementations
- Willingness to travel up to 50% across Europe
