Senior Backend Developer (m/f/d) – Manufacturing

This confidential client operates in the industrial manufacturing sector, developing cloud-based solutions that streamline component sourcing using real engineering data.

We're seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their Munich office. You'll work on backend systems that process complex technical and industrial data, building the infrastructure that powers intelligent procurement decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and extend modern backend applications using.NET/C#, maintaining high code quality through testing, code reviews, and documentation
• Maintain and improve import pipelines for component and customer data, including clustering and tool endpoints
• Translate customer requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with Customer Success teams
• Build and maintain customer data-related tool endpoints, configurations, mappings, and settings
• Implement and validate new calculation algorithms as needed
• Maintain master data, material databases, and standards while providing technical guidance to AI and feature extraction teams

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or comparable technical qualification
• Several years of backend development experience with.NET/C#
• Comfort working with complex technical or industrial data
• Strong understanding of components, technical drawings, manufacturing technologies, and industrial processes (not just surface-level knowledge)
• Experience with data structures related to CAD, PLM, PDM, or ERP systems is highly valued
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and agile development processes
• Structured, solution-oriented approach to challenges with ability to quickly understand existing software architectures
