Senior Analytics Engineer

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in their search for a Senior Analytics Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to work on data infrastructure that supports critical healthcare communication systems at national scale.

You'll join a mission-driven engineering environment where data, product, and engineering teams collaborate as peers to solve complex problems in the healthcare domain. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence, building the foundations that enable data-driven decision making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the presentation layer of the data warehouse, modeling complex healthcare domains end-to-end using dbt
• Design and build high-impact data models using advanced methodologies including Dimensional Modeling, Star Schemas, Data Vault, or One Big Table approaches
• Partner closely with BI and Analytics teams to translate business requirements into production-grade models that deliver actionable insights
• Continuously improve data model performance and warehouse design, prioritizing compute efficiency, scalability, and user experience
• Set, uphold, and scale standards for data quality, automated testing, and documentation within dbt
• Champion self-serve analytics by training and empowering non-technical colleagues to leverage data through BI tools
• Mentor teammates and contribute to engineering culture through code reviews, sprint planning, and collaborative problem-solving
• Support strategic data initiatives by collaborating across engineering teams to propose scalable solutions and drive infrastructure automation

What We're Looking For

• Strong proven experience as an Analytics Engineer within a modern data team, with advanced skills in SQL, Snowflake, and dbt (Core or Cloud)
• Hands-on data modeling expertise using methodologies such as Dimensional Modeling, Star Schemas, Data Vault, or OBT
• Ability to translate complex real-world domains into clean, scalable analytics blueprints
• Comfort working with cloud environments (specifically Azure), software engineering best practices including Git and CI/CD, and data governance frameworks
• Experience with PII management and secure data access in regulated environments
• Track record of driving self-serve analytics adoption across cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical architecture to stakeholders at all levels, from analysts to senior leadership
• Active use of AI tools to automate routine tasks and improve workflow efficiency
• Experience with data ingestion tools like Fivetran or custom Python pipelines is a bonus

Location and Working Arrangements

This position is based in London (Shoreditch) with an office-first culture requiring 3 days per week on-site, with core hours of 10am-4pm. The role offers flexible working benefits and is a full-time permanent position.
