Senior 3D Animators (Madrid)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential animation studio working on high-profile feature films and episodic series. Our talent team is seeking Senior 3D Animators to join their remote team in Spain. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to character-driven storytelling on projects that demand exceptional animation craft and creative vision.

You must be based in Spain or elsewhere in Europe and eligible to work in Spain. Spanish locals will be given priority consideration.

Responsibilities

• Bring characters to life with an emphasis on enhancing story and audience connection
• Create animated sequences of characters, objects, and cameras to meet creative and technical requirements
• Perform rough animation blocking for review, then revise and polish to completion
• Execute excellent facial performance, body mechanics, lip sync, and key posing in a CG animation environment
• Interpret storyboards and translate verbal or visual creative briefs into compelling animation
• Collaborate with the animation team to achieve the director's vision
• Meet production and shot schedules consistently
• Take direction from supervisors and apply feedback from directors and lead animators

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years production experience in 3D animated films and/or episodic animation
• Demo reel showcasing excellent facial performance and body mechanics
• Portfolio demonstrating mature, stylized, and anime-inspired animation strongly preferred (work in the vein of Spiderverse, Entergalactic, Arcane, or The Witness)
• Strong fundamentals: posing, timing, pacing, and deep understanding of animation principles
• Proficiency with keyframe animation in Maya within a production environment
• Solid knowledge of animation workflows, character rigs, and storyboard interpretation
• Good sense of narrative storytelling, comic timing, and emotive visual language
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, solve problems quickly, and remain flexible in response to change
• Passion for animation and storytelling
• Some experience in rigging is a benefit; 2D animation experience is a bonus but not required
• Eligible to work in Spain
