Senior Java Fullstack Developer (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential public-sector IT organization based in Hamburg. They are seeking a Senior Java Fullstack Developer to join their Finance team and build high-performance applications that serve millions of users across Germany. This role offers approximately 80% remote work with occasional on-site collaboration in Hamburg.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend components using Java/Java EE and Spring framework
• Build modern user interfaces with React and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Implement database access layers and integrate relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Containerize applications with Docker and manage deployments using Kubernetes
• Integrate and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Create and execute unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito to ensure software quality

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of practical software development experience
• Strong expertise in Java/Java EE and Spring framework
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and React for modern frontend development
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes and Jenkins for automated application delivery
• Knowledge of containerization with Docker and application management with Kubernetes
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with application servers like JBoss is advantageous
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and test-driven development preferred
• German language proficiency at C1 level required
• Conversational English skills
• Willingness to attend regular on-site meetings in Hamburg (approximately 20% of time)
