Data Product Manager – Core Data Product (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential retail technology organization seeking a Data Product Manager to join their Core Data Product team within the Data Center of Excellence. This role is based in Lille, France, and offers hybrid working arrangements.

Our client is accelerating their digital transformation with data at the core of their strategy. As their Data Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining the vision and roadmap of a data product while indirectly leading a team of data engineers. Your mission will be to make data accessible and trustworthy to support data-driven business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Data Product Strategy and Vision: Design and manage the roadmap for data products including algorithms, dashboards, data APIs, and AI platforms. Ensure data initiatives align with strategic business objectives such as churn reduction through machine learning and pricing optimization. Identify use cases where data can create competitive advantage or improve internal efficiency.
• Data Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure robust data pipelines and reliable sources. Guarantee data governance, quality, cleanliness, consistency, and compliance with regulations including GDPR. Democratize data by making it accessible and understandable for non-technical users across the organization.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Translate business needs into technical specifications for Data Scientists and Data Engineers. Educate stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, and Leadership on data potential and limitations. Drive development of data models using agile methodologies with sprints, A/B testing, and rapid iterations.
• Performance Analysis and Measurement: Define KPIs for both final products and model performance including precision, recall, and data latency. Measure concrete return on investment (ROI) for implemented data projects.
• Ethics and Security: Ensure developed algorithms are unbiased and respect organizational ethics. Secure and control access to sensitive data appropriately.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of experience in Product Management within an international and technical context
• Strong user-centric approach with mastery of Design Thinking and ability to translate complex business needs into fluid user journeys
• Impact-driven mindset with sensitivity to ecology and environmental ethics
• Analytical skills with comfort handling technical data and complex impact calculations
• Passion for sports and desire to apply talent toward sustainable practice
