SAP ABAP Technical Lead – HCM (Remote )(EST/CST) (Richmond, IN, US, 47374)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential enterprise technology organization in their search for an SAP ABAP Technical Lead with deep HCM expertise. This remote position (EST/CST preferred) offers the opportunity to lead critical ERP and HCM development initiatives for a global operation running both on-premise and cloud SAP environments.

You'll be responsible for technical delivery across a complex SAP landscape including ERP ECC, S/4HANA Cloud, SuccessFactors Employee Central, and Employee Central Payroll, along with numerous integration points. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll translate functional specifications into production code while mentoring an offshore development team.

Responsibilities

• Lead ABAP technical delivery for on-premise and cloud SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and SuccessFactors environments with third-party integrations
• Develop and support ABAP and WebDynPro applications within the SAP HCM system
• Ensure appropriate technology is used to maintain HCM systems and integration points with enterprise applications
• Develop quality code and documentation adhering to departmental standards
• Provide technical support including analysis, development, testing, tracking, and resolution
• Partner with and guide offshore development team in India, overseeing their ABAP development work
• Collaborate with ERP, HCM, and Payroll functional consultants to debug and resolve technical issues
• Facilitate resolution of design conflicts and create realistic execution plans
• Manage relationships with systems integrators, vendors, and contractors

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• Minimum 7 years hands-on SAP ABAP/4 custom development experience
• Minimum 10 years deploying and supporting SAP ERP and SuccessFactors
• Required experience with SAP ERP, HCM, NetWeaver Portal, and Process Integration (PI)
• Proficiency with IDocs, RFC/BAPI, file interfaces, and Proxies
• Basic knowledge of OData/Gateway and REST/SOAP
• Hands-on experience with user exits, customer exits, and BAdIs
• Knowledge of RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Exits, Forms, Workflows)
• Familiarity with ALE/IDoc, ALV reports, Adapter Framework, and integration tools
• Strong system integration and data migration experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Track record of engineering leadership with a hands-on style
• Customer-focused approach to problem-solving

Big Plus: Hands-on experience with Web Dynamic Programming and UI5 for ESS/MSS and HR Renewal; exposure to SAP CPI technology
