Salesforce Developer (US-Remote)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization in their search for a Salesforce Developer to join their Business Technology team. This is a remote, US-based position for a builder-first technical professional who treats Salesforce development with the same rigor as traditional software engineering.

You'll own the design, development, and delivery of complex Salesforce solutions that power critical go-to-market operations, including Data Cloud platform capabilities, AI-driven automation, and core Sales, Service, and CPQ functionality. This role requires someone who writes Apex and Lightning Web Components with testability and production deployments in mind, operates comfortably in a terminal, and treats CI/CD pipelines as essential infrastructure.

As a technical lead, you'll mentor peers, establish development standards, and partner directly with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into elegant, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

Platform Development

• Design and build complex Salesforce solutions using Apex (classes, triggers, batch, async), Lightning Web Components, and declarative tooling (Flow, custom metadata)
• Own the full development lifecycle from requirements analysis through production deployment using Salesforce CLI and SFDX
• Establish and enforce coding standards, test coverage requirements, and architectural best practices
• Lead technical design reviews and drive engineering excellence across the platform

Data Cloud & AI Implementation

• Build and maintain data streams, data model objects, calculated insights, and activation targets for unified customer profiles
• Develop and configure AI-driven agents and automation features to enhance seller and support experiences
• Collaborate with data engineering teams on integrations with external data lake platforms using SQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration tools
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation, exploration, and pipeline debugging

DevOps & CI/CD

• Manage deployment lifecycle across scratch orgs, sandboxes (dev, QA, staging, UAT), and production using source-driven development workflows
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, static analysis, and deployment gating
• Champion version control best practices including branching strategy, pull request reviews, and release management
• Script and automate routine tasks using shell, Python, or Node.js

Integrations & Architecture

• Design and implement integrations with external ERP, HCM, and business intelligence platforms
• Make platform architecture decisions balancing declarative versus programmatic approaches for scalability and maintainability
• Maintain data integrity, governor limit awareness, and security best practices across all solutions

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with business stakeholders and product owners to translate requirements into technical specifications
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to developers and administrators
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for system architecture and deployment processes

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in an enterprise environment
• Expert-level proficiency in Apex (asynchronous patterns, governor limits, test-driven development) and Lightning Web Components
• Strong working knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud: data streams, identity resolution, segments, and activations
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce CLI (SFDX) and source-driven development through multiple sandbox environments to production
• Practical experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, Gearset, Copado, or similar)
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data lake platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, or similar) for data exploration and integration
• Comfort operating in a terminal/CLI environment with ability to read, write, and debug shell commands independently
• Familiarity with AI-driven automation features within the Salesforce platform
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Self-directed with strong ownership mindset and ability to drive initiatives to completion
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tooling and comfort integrating these into workflows
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with integration platforms, REST/SOAP API design, and event-driven architecture (Platform Events, Change Data Capture)
• Familiarity with ERP, HCM, or revenue operations platform integrations
• Experience with Salesforce CPQ or Revenue Cloud
• Active Salesforce certifications: Platform Developer I & II, Data Cloud Consultant, Application Architect, or AI Specialist credentials
• B2B SaaS or cybersecurity industry experience
