About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential academic publishing organization seeking a Sales Development Representative based in South Korea. Our talent team is working with a global leader in research and education solutions to identify driven professionals who can generate new business opportunities in the academic sector.
This role focuses on building pipeline through outbound prospecting and lead qualification. You'll work closely with account executives to identify and engage potential customers across universities, research institutions, and government agencies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-volume prospecting daily through phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate new sales opportunities
- Research assigned target accounts and reach out with value propositions to qualify prospective customers
- Coordinate with marketing to track, assess, and qualify leads from multiple channels
- Meet with Solutions Account Executives to ensure accurate documentation of all pre-sales information
- Schedule qualified demonstrations and meetings, building pipeline in accordance with sales management guidelines
- Navigate company structures to identify key decision makers and influencers within target organizations
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in English and Korean (verbal and written)
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with ability to communicate complex content to varied audiences
- Self-starter attitude with strong efficiency and self-management capabilities
- Proven track record of work ethic and exceeding goals
- Outstanding problem-solving skills related to sales, marketing, and business development
- Interest in building a career in sales with desire for professional development
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and LinkedIn
- Sales, customer-facing, lead generation, or scientific research experience is beneficial but not required
