Engagement Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential consulting firm seeking a freelance Engagement Manager to coordinate the delivery of technology assessments. You will work alongside senior partners and technical architects to manage client engagements, typically structured as 18-day assignments delivered across eight weeks. This is a primarily remote role within the UK, with occasional client meetings arranged in advance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain delivery plans, responsibility matrices, and review schedules for client engagements
• Coordinate client interviews and evidence requests, ensuring efficient information gathering without duplication
• Track delivery effort, dependencies, risks, and agreed actions throughout each assignment
• Prepare concise weekly progress updates and escalate decisions promptly to senior stakeholders
• Ensure reports and review materials are complete, consistent, and client-ready
• Coordinate client feedback, presentations, and final handover activities

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing consulting engagements or technology assessments with external clients
• Ability to coordinate technical specialists and architects while maintaining scope and effort control
• Confidence handling senior client conversations and managing sensitive findings professionally
• Strong written English and practical working knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Experience managing document reviews, commercial boundaries, and delivery risks
• Background in financial services or professional services is advantageous

Pay

The client offers £450 to £525 per day, depending on relevant experience. Rates exclude VAT where applicable. Contracting arrangements and tax status will be confirmed before an assignment is agreed.
