Retail Sales Associate Bikes & Fitness

We're looking for a Retail Sales Associate specializing in Bikes & Fitness to join Dick's Sporting Goods at our Store1584 location in Latham, NY. In this full-time role, you'll help customers discover bikes, fitness gear, and athletic equipment while delivering outstanding in-store service.

Position Summary

As a Retail Sales Associate, you'll be the knowledgeable point of contact in our Bikes & Fitness department. You'll engage with customers on the sales floor, explain product features, and match people with the right equipment for their fitness goals and cycling needs. This role offers the chance to develop real expertise in athletic equipment while working in a dynamic, customer-focused retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers on the sales floor, answering questions about bikes, fitness equipment, and gear specifications
• Build and maintain product knowledge across bikes, cardio, strength training, and accessories
• Process customer transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
• Keep the department organized, merchandise displays sharp, and inventory accessible
• Partner with team members to reach sales goals and maintain consistent service standards
• Address customer concerns and feedback professionally and promptly

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Retail or customer service experience preferred
• Genuine interest in sports, fitness, or cycling
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand for extended shifts and handle product movement
• Flexible availability, including weekends and seasonal hours
• Reliable transportation to Latham, NY
