Retail Supervisor

Position Summary

As Retail Supervisor, you will lead daily operations on the sales floor, manage inventory and visual merchandising, and oversee staff scheduling and performance. You'll be the point person for ensuring store standards are met, customer expectations are exceeded, and your team is equipped to succeed. This role reports directly to store management and is central to maintaining a welcoming, efficiently run retail space where customers and employees both thrive.

What You'll Do

• Lead, train, and develop a team of retail associates, providing coaching, feedback, and support to help them achieve sales goals and build careers
• Monitor floor activity, customer interactions, and sales trends; step in to close high-value transactions and resolve customer concerns
• Execute visual merchandising directives and maintain store appearance, product placement, and safety standards
• Manage inventory accuracy, stock rotation, and seasonal product transitions
• Assist with scheduling, time-off requests, and staffing to ensure optimal coverage during peak periods
• Report sales metrics, operational issues, and staffing updates to store management

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of retail supervisory or lead experience, or equivalent demonstrated leadership in a sales environment
• Proven ability to motivate and develop team members toward individual and team targets
• Strong sales acumen and comfort closing sales, upselling, and driving customer loyalty
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a high-volume retail setting
• Point-of-sale (POS) system proficiency and comfort with retail technology and reporting tools
• Customer-first mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and seasonal peaks
