What This Role Involves

As a Retail Bike Technician, you'll be the technical foundation of our cycling department. You'll work directly with customers and inventory to ensure every bicycle that leaves our store is properly assembled, inspected, and ready to perform. This full-time position combines skilled mechanical work with genuine customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

What You'll Do

• Assemble new bicycles from delivery, following manufacturer specifications and quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance services including tire repairs, brake adjustments, derailleur tuning, and cable replacements
• Diagnose and repair customer bikes, documenting work clearly and communicating timelines accurately
• Conduct thorough safety inspections before bikes are sold or returned to customers
• Answer customer questions about bike features, components, and proper care and maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage parts inventory responsibly
• Meet store standards for health, safety, and compliance while handling tools and equipment properly

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience assembling or repairing bicycles, or equivalent hands-on mechanical background
• Strong working knowledge of bike components, drivetrain systems, and brake mechanisms
• Ability to use standard bicycle tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
