The Opportunity

As a Footwear Specialist at Dickssportinggoods in North Olmsted, OH, you'll help customers discover shoes that match their athletic goals, performance needs, and everyday style. Working full time in our shoe department, you'll draw on your footwear knowledge to guide runners, athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts toward the perfect fit. This in-store role places you at the center of our retail team, building customer relationships and contributing to a positive shopping experience at our Store0468 location.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their footwear needs and lifestyle preferences
• Recommend athletic shoes, running shoes, sports shoes, and casual footwear using your product expertise
• Fit and demonstrate shoes, discussing features like support, cushioning, and performance technologies
• Process sales transactions and handle customer accounts
• Receive, stock, and maintain footwear displays and department organization
• Process exchanges, returns, and customer inquiries professionally
• Collaborate with store team members to meet sales targets and customer satisfaction goals
• Stay informed about new shoe releases and brand innovations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Retail or customer service experience preferred
• Interest in or knowledge of athletic footwear, running shoes, and sports apparel
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and seasonal periods
• Reliable transportation to our North Olmsted, OH store location
