Shift Leader

Coffeeandbagelbrands is hiring a Shift Leader at our Rochester, Minnesota location (155 1st Avenue SW Suite 140). This is a full-time position for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced food service environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences every shift.

Role Overview

As a Shift Leader, you'll oversee all operations during your assigned shift, from opening procedures and food preparation to customer service and closing tasks. You'll lead a small team, ensure quality standards are met, and maintain a positive, efficient work environment. Your leadership, communication, and operational expertise directly impact both the guest experience and team morale.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide team members during your shift, providing clear direction and constructive feedback
• Ensure all food preparation follows safety and quality guidelines and company standards
• Monitor cash handling, register accuracy, and reconciliation procedures
• Oversee inventory management and place orders as needed to maintain stock levels
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any service issues promptly and professionally
• Complete opening or closing procedures, including equipment checks and facility cleanliness
• Train new or existing team members on job duties and company procedures
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations

• Proven experience in a customer-facing or food service leadership role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to showing up consistently
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for cash handling, inventory, and ordering
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
• A positive attitude and genuine commitment to excellent customer service
