Shift Leader

About This Position

As a Shift Leader at Coffeeandbagelbrands, you'll own the operations during your shift—from opening or closing procedures to managing workflow, food quality, and guest satisfaction. This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced food service environment and has a genuine passion for developing team members. You'll be the go-to person on the floor, balancing hands-on work with leadership responsibilities while maintaining the high standards our guests expect.

Core Duties

• Lead, train, and supervise shift team members with clear direction and positive feedback
• Manage cash handling, reconcile registers, and maintain accurate financial records
• Ensure food preparation meets company standards for quality, safety, and presentation
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to avoid shortages
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to build loyalty
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant working environment
• Communicate shift notes to other leaders and corporate management
• Perform hands-on work during peak hours, including food prep, beverage service, and register operation

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a shift lead, supervisor, or management role in food service or hospitality
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash management
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift regularly
• Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one
• A commitment to food safety and health compliance standards
