Retail- FT Merchandise Manager

Michaels is hiring a full-time Merchandise Manager for our Charlotte store located at 8813 JW Clay Blvd, Ste A. This is your opportunity to lead our visual presentation, inventory control, and merchandise operations in one of the retail leader's key locations.

Role Overview

As a full-time Merchandise Manager at Michaels in Charlotte, you'll own the visual and operational success of our store's merchandise displays, inventory accuracy, and product placement. You'll work directly with our store leadership team to ensure our shelves, displays, and signage reflect our brand standards and drive customer engagement. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine strategic thinking with your passion for retail excellence.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee merchandise placement, visual displays, and store layout to maximize visibility and sales
• Monitor inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and coordinate stock flow between receiving and sales floor
• Execute seasonal planograms and marketing initiatives while maintaining brand consistency
• Train and mentor team members on merchandising standards and inventory procedures
• Collaborate with store management to analyze sales performance and adjust merchandise strategies
• Ensure pricing accuracy and promotional signage is current across all departments
• Maintain organized stockroom and receiving area with proper labeling and accessibility

What You Bring

• Proven retail or warehouse experience, ideally in a merchandise or inventory management capacity
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow visual standards and company guidelines
• Organized approach to managing multiple tasks and meeting daily operations goals
• Ability to lift, carry, and work on your feet throughout shifts
• Effective communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively with store teams
• Experience with retail inventory systems and point-of-sale platforms (preferred but not required)
