What This Role Involves

As an on-call banquet bartender, you're a key member of our hospitality team, prepared to step in seamlessly for private events, weddings, galas, and corporate gatherings. You'll work alongside our events and catering teams to ensure every guest receives bar service that reflects Montage's commitment to excellence. This full-time position requires flexibility and the ability to deliver polished, professional bartending in dynamic event environments.

What You'll Do

• Mix and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and consistency
• Manage bar setups and breakdowns for banquets and events of varying sizes and themes
• Interact warmly with guests, taking drink orders and offering menu recommendations
• Monitor inventory, restock supplies, and communicate needs to management
• Follow all health, safety, and responsible beverage service protocols
• Adapt quickly to event-specific bar setups, specialty cocktail programs, and guest preferences
• Maintain composure and professionalism in fast-paced, high-volume settings

What We're Looking For

• Proven bartending experience in upscale hospitality, events, or fine dining environments
• Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, wine, spirits, and mixology techniques
• California Responsible Beverage Server certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent customer service skills and genuine passion for hospitality
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Reliability, flexibility with scheduling, and a collaborative team mindset
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently during peak service
