Assistant Rooms Manager

What This Role Involves

As Assistant Rooms Manager at our Healdsburg property, you'll oversee the daily execution of housekeeping and rooms operations. You'll partner with the Rooms Manager to maintain our high standards for cleanliness, guest comfort, and property presentation while developing your management capabilities in a premium hospitality setting.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure all guest rooms and public spaces meet Montage's luxury standards
• Conduct room inspections and address quality issues promptly to guarantee guest satisfaction
• Coordinate with front office, maintenance, and other departments to resolve guest requests and room concerns
• Schedule housekeeping team members and manage workload distribution across shifts
• Track inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, ensuring adequate stock levels
• Train and mentor housekeeping staff on procedures, safety protocols, and service excellence
• Monitor occupancy reports and adjust staffing and priorities accordingly
• Respond to guest inquiries and special requests related to room services

Qualifications

• At least 2–3 years of experience in hotel housekeeping or rooms operations
• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to motivate and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
• Clear communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
• Physical ability to walk, stand, and perform light lifting throughout the day
