About the Role

As an Event and Party Host at Michaels, you'll be the host with the most—facilitating engaging in-store events, leading craft demonstrations, and creating memorable party experiences for customers. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will shine as you set the tone for a welcoming, creative environment where customers enjoy workshops, birthday celebrations, and seasonal activities. You'll work with our team to turn craft projects into lasting memories.

Core Duties

• Host and lead in-store craft workshops, classes, and seasonal events
• Guide customers through creative projects and hands-on activities
• Organize and execute party hosting services in our party space
• Demonstrate crafting techniques and inspire customer participation
• Set up event spaces, materials, and supplies before each session
• Manage customer interactions professionally and resolve questions
• Maintain clean, organized event areas throughout shifts

Skills & Qualifications

• Outgoing, customer-focused personality with excellent communication skills
• Ability to engage diverse audiences, including children and families
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Creative thinking and enthusiasm for crafts and DIY projects
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate materials
