Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during first-look patient evaluations through careful animal handling that keeps everyone safe and calm
• Prepare examination and procedure spaces by replenishing needed materials and confirming all tools remain fully functional
• Clean and disinfect instruments to hospital standards while verifying equipment readiness before each use
• Execute core clinical tasks that cover collecting blood samples, inserting catheters, managing anesthesia delivery and oversight, performing dental cleanings, producing imaging studies, providing prescribed doses, and completing lab workups
• Share guidance with pet owners about care needs and keep every patient record accurate and current

What We're Looking For

• Proven capability with hands-on techniques including venipuncture, vascular access, anesthetic control and observation, oral prophylaxis procedures, diagnostic imaging, medication delivery, laboratory testing, and owner instruction
• Clear communication skills that foster strong relationships with clients during discussions of their animals’ conditions and treatment plans
• Aptitude for maintaining detailed patient documentation and contributing productively inside a busy multi-doctor animal hospital
• Reliability and focus that support outstanding patient outcomes and smooth daily clinic flow at Baldwin Animal Clinic
