Remote Tax Senior – Contract

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential accounting firm seeking experienced tax professionals for remote contract engagements throughout the United States. Our talent team connects senior-level accountants with project-based opportunities that offer flexibility and professional growth.

These are remote tax projects with various durations, typically 2-3 months with potential extensions. Projects may be part-time or full-time depending on client needs and your availability. Work includes busy season support and special projects throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Complete tax compliance and planning projects for individuals, small businesses, or larger corporate entities
• Prepare tax provisions and conduct tax research as needed
• Support merger and acquisition tax matters and due diligence when applicable
• Handle federal, state, and local tax matters
• Assist with international tax matters for select clients
• Deliver quality work remotely while meeting project deadlines

What We're Looking For

• Public accounting experience within the past five years (required)
• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or related field
• Experience in one or more of the following: individual/small business tax compliance, corporate tax compliance and planning, tax provisions, tax research (federal or state/local), M&A taxes and tax diligence, or international taxes
• Must be a US resident and authorized to work in the United States
• Strong technical skills and ability to work independently on remote assignments
• Excellent communication skills for virtual collaboration

Pay
