Director / Sr Director / Vice President Business Development – US North East (gn)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential life sciences organization seeking a Director, Senior Director, or Vice President of Business Development to lead expansion efforts across the US North East region. This is a strategic role focused on growing partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies through an established CRO service portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to expand market presence on the East Coast
• Grow current business while identifying and developing new opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotech organizations
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to drive strategic partnerships
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and facilitate cross-functional cooperation
• Lead high-level negotiations and close deals that drive significant revenue growth
• Represent the organization at major industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and network with industry leaders

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 10 years of business development experience, with at least 5 years in the CRO industry
• Proven track record of successful sales and territory management within the CRO space
• Degree in a life science-related field
• Extensive network within the biotech and pharmaceutical industries with ability to leverage connections to generate business
• Deep understanding of early drug discovery processes, structural biology, proteins, biologics, biophysics, and integrated programs
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective business development strategies
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to build and sustain strong professional relationships
• Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
