Registered Nurse (RN) – Trauma Stepdown/Tele

Tenet Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Trauma Stepdown and Telemetry unit in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County. This is a full-time night shift position offering the opportunity to deliver exceptional nursing care in a fast-paced, acute-care environment.

About the Role

As an RN in our Trauma Stepdown/Telemetry unit, you'll provide high-quality, safe, and cost-effective nursing care to patients recovering from trauma and those requiring cardiac and vital sign monitoring. You'll assume responsibility for coordinating patient care, applying the nursing process to develop individualized treatment plans, and ensuring all care meets established safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to trauma stepdown and telemetry patients throughout your shift
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, telemetry readings, and clinical status; communicate significant changes to the care team
• Coordinate and integrate patient care across the multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe transitions and continuity of care
• Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and adjust interventions based on patient response
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records; ensure compliance with documentation standards and regulatory requirements
• Champion patient safety, infection control best practices, and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide compassionate patient and family education to support recovery and understanding of care

What We're Looking For

• Active RN license in good standing (Florida)
• Experience in stepdown/intermediate care, telemetry, or trauma nursing (preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical equipment
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with interdisciplinary teams
• Commitment to patient safety, infection prevention, and quality outcomes
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced acute-care setting
