Tenet Healthcare is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical nursing unit in Mount Enterprise, Rusk County. This role offers the opportunity to deliver direct patient care during evening and overnight shifts, managing a diverse caseload while leading and supporting your nursing team.

About the Role

As a Med-Surg RN on the night shift, you'll provide comprehensive clinical nursing care to assigned patients, taking responsibility for assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of individualized care plans. You'll monitor patient progress, respond to changing conditions, and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure positive outcomes. This position includes supervisory responsibilities for delegating and overseeing care provided by nursing staff and support personnel.

What You'll Do

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and manage complex wound care
  • Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatment
  • Communicate updates and handoff information to the incoming care team
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing assistants and support staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
  • Support high-quality, safe, evidence-based nursing practice across the unit
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on patient care plans

What We're Looking For

  • Current RN license in Texas (or equivalent state licensure with compact privilege)
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
  • Clinical nursing experience, preferably in medical-surgical or acute care settings
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care needs
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively as part of a nursing team
