Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator (RN) – Med Surg

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator (RN) for our Medical-Surgical unit in Highland Park, Wayne County. About the Role

As a Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator (RN) in Medical-Surgical nursing, you'll serve as a clinical leader on our unit, bridging direct patient care with operational excellence. Working alongside an interdisciplinary team, you'll help ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care while supporting the professional development of our clinical staff and continuous improvement of unit operations.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate patient care activities across the Medical-Surgical unit to ensure safe, efficient operations
• Conduct clinical assessments and provide direct patient monitoring and care using evidence-based practices
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and clinical support staff to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments with meticulous attention to safety and documentation standards
• Educate patients and families to promote informed decision-making and positive health outcomes
• Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to ongoing clinical learning and excellence
• Coordinate unit operations including patient admissions, discharges, and flow management

What We're Looking For

• Current, active RN licensure in Michigan
• Clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing or related acute care hospital settings
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to manage complex patient needs
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional clinical excellence
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple responsibilities
