Regional HR Manager – EMEA

About the Opportunity

We are representing a global open-source technology organization seeking a Regional HR Manager for EMEA. Our client is a distributed-first company with over 1,000 colleagues across 75+ countries, and they need an experienced HR leader to scale operations across the EMEA region. This role reports to the Global Head of HR and offers the opportunity to shape HR strategy during an exciting growth phase.

The position is fully remote and open to candidates across the EMEA region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the regional HR team across EMEA territories
• Deliver compliant, accurate, and timely HR operations across multiple jurisdictions
• Partner with senior leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and employee engagement
• Own talent development, succession planning, performance assessments, and onboarding processes
• Coach and advise people managers on employee relations matters across diverse countries
• Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives regionally
• Collaborate with the global People team to ensure consistent processes across regions
• Design new policies and lead business-critical HR projects with global impact
• Support delivery of training and development programs for regional teams
• Present HR practices and initiatives at company events

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Strong academic background from high school through university
• HR leadership experience managing initiatives across multiple regions in a technology environment
• Proven people management experience
• Track record of business partnering with senior stakeholders
• Hands-on approach—comfortable balancing strategic leadership with day-to-day execution
• Experience working in a remote-first or distributed organization
• Data-driven decision-making capabilities
• Deep knowledge of HR practices and employment law across EMEA jurisdictions
• Experience handling complex employee relations cases across multiple countries
• Fluent business English (written and spoken)
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
• Willingness to travel up to four times per year for team events

Preferred:

• Experience with immigration policies and mobility processes
• Professional HR qualification (CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent)
• Facilitation skills
