MMI Engineered Solutions is hiring a Quality Auditor for third-shift production support at our Center Line, Macomb County facility near Warren, Michigan. This is a part-time position operating overnight hours, ideal for quality professionals seeking evening and night shift work in precision manufacturing.
About the Role
As a Quality Auditor on the C shift team, you'll maintain product excellence during third-shift manufacturing operations. Your focus will be capturing accurate dimensional data and identifying deviations from specifications before parts leave the production floor.
What You'll Do
- Perform precise dimensional checks on manufactured parts using fixture gages, calipers, and gage-of-records measurement tools
- Execute quality audits during active production runs to catch and document any discrepancies
- Record inspection findings and communicate quality issues to production and engineering teams
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying patterns in inspection data
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of all audits performed
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience performing dimensional inspection and quality audits in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on proficiency with precision measurement tools including calipers, fixture gages, and similar instruments
- Ability to work independently during third-shift hours (10:45 PM – 7:15 AM, Sunday – Thursday)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to measurement accuracy
- Reliable attendance and professional approach to quality standards
