Amaroc is seeking a Project Manager - Municipal to lead public‑sector construction initiatives in Phoenix, Maricopa County.

About the Role

As a Project Manager - Municipal with Amaroc, you will oversee the planning, execution, and close‑out of infrastructure projects that serve Arizona communities. You will act as the primary point of contact for city officials, engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring that each job meets municipal standards, stays on schedule, and remains within budget.

What You'll Do

  • Develop detailed project schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans for municipal contracts.
  • Coordinate with public agencies to secure permits, approvals, and inspection clearances.
  • Manage day‑to‑day site activities, supervising subcontractors and monitoring work quality.
  • Track progress against milestones, identify risks, and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders, including budget forecasts and change order documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and Amaroc’s quality standards.
  • Facilitate final walkthroughs, punch‑list resolution, and project close‑out documentation.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience managing municipal or public works construction projects, preferably in the Southwest.
  • Strong knowledge of Arizona building codes, public procurement processes, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Procore.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with government officials, design teams, and field crews.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites across Maricopa County.
