Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization seeking a Production Engineer / Process Engineer specializing in welding technology. In this role, you will:

  • Lead cross-functional projects in welding technology and robotics, including tender documentation, feasibility studies, and procurement management
  • Develop programs and programming routines for existing and future robotic systems
  • Train and onboard employees on robotic systems and their programming
  • Contribute to investment planning as part of mid-term management objectives
  • Review models and technical drawings for automated welding feasibility
  • Design and procure equipment including robots and other automated systems
  • Support design teams to ensure automation-friendly product development and analyze production-related design issues
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for the welding production team regarding manufacturing challenges
  • Conduct training sessions for project launches in production
  • Lead problem-solving processes and track implementation of corrective measures across departments
  • Develop value stream maps to optimize information and material flows
  • Implement measures for productivity improvement and quality optimization, including robotics enhancement
  • Perform economic analysis, capacity planning, and utilization calculations
  • Monitor and establish key performance indicators
  • Plan and facilitate efficiency improvement workshops
  • Evaluate and implement continuous improvement suggestions

What We're Looking For

  • 4-year university degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Multiple years of experience in a comparable production engineering or process engineering position
  • Advanced skills in programming industrial robots, ideally in multiple programming languages (Cloos, Yaskawa, etc.)
  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, CAD software, and Lean methodologies
  • Welding engineering certification is a strong advantage
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Solution-oriented working style and strong team collaboration abilities
  • Willingness to travel as needed
