Product Owner, Card Programs

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is scaling rapidly and building multiple card programs from the ground up. This is a true product owner role where you will have end-to-end ownership of card infrastructure serving business customers across credit, stablecoin, and rewards products.

This is not a program management or vendor coordination role. You will be the technical and strategic owner of the entire card stack, responsible for scaling from one major program to five-plus concurrent programs and increasing total volume by more than an order of magnitude.

Responsibilities

• Own every layer of card programs including ledger, processing, servicing, fulfillment, BIN sponsor management, and network relationships
• Lead processor strategy and manage direct network relationships, holding vendors accountable through technical and commercial negotiations
• Build operational infrastructure to support five concurrent card programs across multiple product lines
• Architect the path to 20x scale while maintaining customer experience and operational excellence
• Recruit and build the card programs team as the function grows, defining hiring needs and timing
• Translate complex card issuing technical requirements into clear product decisions for cross-functional teams
• Drive communications around current programs, transitions, and future roadmap

What We're Looking For

• You have personally launched at least one card program from scratch as the primary owner (not as a secondary contributor)
• Hands-on expertise across ledger, processing, servicing, and fulfillment systems with deep knowledge of vendor landscape and operational risk
• Strong familiarity with BIN sponsor dynamics, issuer processor mechanics, and card network rules and compliance
• Ability to lead technical conversations about processor migrations, network compliance, and infrastructure decisions
• Typically 8-12 years of relevant experience in card program ownership and fintech infrastructure
• Comfortable being the initial solo owner of this function before building a team around you
• Strong ability to evaluate vendor proposals and distinguish genuine capability from sales positioning
• Understanding of terminology including FTS, ARI, DPS, BINs, and card network operations
