Product Manager Platform (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential clean-tech organization seeking a Product Manager Platform to shape the core of their IoT and cloud platform. You will connect strategic market requirements with technical excellence, manage the platform ecosystem across its entire lifecycle, and drive international scaling of their Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) model for the decentralized energy market.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and advancing the product vision, roadmap, and value proposition for the platform and associated services
• Creating business cases, pricing models, and pricing strategies in the PaaS context, including stakeholder alignment
• Identifying, evaluating, and acquiring strategic platform partners to expand the ecosystem
• Conducting continuous market and competitive analyses focused on the international energy market
• Independent controlling and monitoring of platform performance, deriving targeted measures
• Translating strategic business use cases and customer requirements into functional and technical specifications and epics
• Close collaboration with Product Owners on feature specifications and supporting clear backlog prioritization
• Working with technical documentation teams to optimize platform and API documentation
• Managing the complete product lifecycle (start of concept to end of life) and providing subject-matter expertise to sales, marketing, and internal product training

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Economics, Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Several years of solid professional experience in product management, product development, or business unit development in IT, PaaS, or IoT environments. Experience in renewable energy/smart energy is a strong plus
• Good understanding of cloud architectures, edge technologies, and API-first concepts
• Solid knowledge of pricing, monetization, and business economics of SaaS/PaaS business models
• Knowledge of business, technical, and regulatory issues in the energy market is desirable
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, excellent clarification and communication competence at the interface between tech and business, structured project execution, and hands-on mentality
• Very good German and English skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness for hybrid work with regular office presence in Dresden
