About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization in their search for a working student to support community management and online reputation initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience with social media engagement, review management, and emerging optimization strategies in the clean technology sector.

This is a student position based in Hamburg with flexible remote options, designed to complement your university schedule while giving you meaningful responsibility in a fast-growing industry.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to community interactions across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn in a timely, on-brand manner
• Support review management operations by screening new reviews on Trustpilot and Google, identifying patterns, and reporting insights to the team
• Conduct weekly monitoring of relevant YouTube content and competitive landscape, providing structured observations to inform response strategies
• Boost organic reach by engaging authentically in comment sections immediately after new content goes live
• Adapt communication style appropriately for each platform's unique audience and format expectations
• Identify relevant conversations about energy transition topics across social channels and contribute valuable commentary that positions our client as a thought leader
• Own a special project around Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): develop and test content formulation approaches to improve visibility in AI-powered search results
• Bring creative ideas for integrating GEO principles into ongoing content creation workflows

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled at a German university with at least two semesters remaining in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Business Administration, or a related field
• Active social media user with intuitive understanding of how Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn differ in tone, format, and audience behavior
• Strong writing skills in German with attention to voice and style; English proficiency is a plus
• First-hand experience with community or social media management is beneficial but not required—we value your instinct for language and human connection
• Familiarity with social media management tools like Agorapulse or similar platforms is helpful
• Basic understanding of SEO or GEO concepts is a plus, but most importantly, genuine interest in learning and shaping this emerging discipline
• Enthusiasm for renewable energy topics and desire to make sustainability tangible through daily work
• Self-directed work style with ability to balance multiple monitoring streams and reporting responsibilities
