Product Manager, Clinical Trials

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential health technology organization that is transforming how clinical trials connect patients, research sites, sponsors, and CROs. Our client is building a platform to replace fragmented paper-based processes with intelligent workflows that span patient identification, eligibility screening, referrals, and site intake.

We are seeking a Product Manager with direct clinical trials experience to own the product direction for this new platform. This is an individual contributor role where you will work closely with investigators, research coordinators, referring clinicians, sponsor teams, and CRO operators to build solutions that ship.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product strategy, outcomes, and roadmap for the clinical trials platform
• Spend time on-site with research nurses, coordinators, investigators, and sponsor teams to understand real workflows and constraints
• Map the complete patient journey from study awareness through matching, consent, referral, screening, and enrollment
• Design pre-screening workflows that translate complex inclusion/exclusion criteria into explainable, reviewable processes
• Work with design and engineering to translate clinical needs into prototypes, requirements, and shipped releases
• Partner with clinical, legal, privacy, and security teams to build in consent, traceability, and auditability from the start
• Make integration decisions across EHR/EMR, CTMS, EDC, eConsent, ePRO, and trial registry systems
• Define and track metrics including time to match, referral completeness, site response time, screen-failure rate, and enrollment conversion
• Determine what not to build and filter customer requests that don't serve the core strategy

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of product experience in regulated or clinically complex environments—though we value what you've built over tenure
• Direct experience working inside clinical trials at a sponsor, CRO, research site, health system, or trial technology company
• Ability to read regulated clinical workflows, identify the constraint that matters, and drive teams from ambiguity to measurable outcomes
• Hands-on approach: you run discovery, analyze data, write specifications, test workflows, and unblock delivery independently
• Comfort moving fast within regulatory and safety constraints rather than viewing compliance as a blocker
• Passion for AI demonstrated through building, prototyping, or hands-on side projects
• Track record of shipping products that solve real clinical problems
• Strong conviction in your thinking paired with openness to being wrong
