About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential client in support of a federal financial regulatory agency. This is a remote Policy Analyst role focused on acquisition policy development, compliance, and lifecycle management. The selected candidate will provide mid- to senior-level expertise in shaping acquisition policies, procedures, and contract templates in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.
Note: This is a remote position, but candidates must reside within the Washington, D.C. Metro Area.
Responsibilities
- Provide mid- to senior-level acquisition policy support, including interpreting and drafting policy for a non-FAR-based agency environment
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of contract policies and procedures
- Collaborate across legal, contracting, and technical teams to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency
- Research, analyze, and present complex contracting information; track and communicate procurement data in a clear, logical manner
- Develop presentations and data-enriched reports with actionable recommendations
- Conduct research on Executive Orders, OMB memoranda, and related policy drivers to assess impacts on acquisition operations
- Draft and review updates to acquisition policy manuals, including interim policy changes and stakeholder feedback integration
- Create and review acquisition templates, samples, and other guidance documents
- Coordinate updates and interactions with acquisition management systems
What We're Looking For
Required:
- BA or BS degree in a business-related, management, or legal field
- At least 10 years of direct procurement experience in federal government and/or the private sector
- At least 5 of the most recent years must include hands-on experience creating policy documents, updating existing policies, and developing templates
- Public Trust clearance eligibility
- Proven expertise applying both non-FAR-based regulations and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), along with other U.S. Government policies
- Experience working with GSA Schedules, GWACs, and MA-IDIQs
- Demonstrated understanding of acquisition management principles across the full lifecycle (pre-award through closeout)
- Experience managing multiple contract types (FFP/LOE, T&M, FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in team environments
- Ability to anticipate issues, mitigate risk, and manage administrative processes
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in demanding environments and establish productive relationships at all organizational levels
Desired:
- Master's Degree in a business-related, management, or legal field
- Minimum of 10 years of federal procurement experience with a focus on policy development and implementation
- Certification: Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or similar certification in government procurement practices (e.g., FAC Professional or FAC-C II or equivalent)
