Telehealth Registered Dietitian (Mountain Time)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential telehealth organization that provides integrative nutrition services to patients across the United States. We're seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) for a PRN telehealth role working in Mountain Time, delivering virtual outpatient nutrition counseling with a functional and integrative approach.

This is an as-needed position requiring a minimum of 12 hours of weekly availability, with flexibility to increase hours based on your preferences and patient demand. The ideal candidate will have clinical or outpatient nutrition counseling experience and hold (or be eligible for) licensure in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Provide telehealth medical nutrition therapy using functional and integrative nutrition approaches
• Assess patient nutritional health and develop personalized, evidence-based care plans
• Create and modify individualized nutrition interventions based on patient needs and goals
• Document all appointments in the designated EHR platform with strong attention to detail
• Respond to patient communications in a timely, professional, and supportive manner
• Collaborate with team members through case discussions, meetings, and shared learning
• Manage a consistent patient caseload, ensuring continuity of care and optimal outcomes
• Maintain minimum weekly availability requirements with opportunity to grow schedule over time
• Stay current with emerging research and best practices in nutrition and health

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Current RD/RDN registration with CDR
• Minimum 2 years of outpatient or clinical nutrition counseling experience
• Pennsylvania license or eligibility for licensure (credentialing process may take 3–6 months)
• Willingness to be credentialed with insurance companies
• Minimum 12 hours of weekly availability
• Passion for integrative and functional nutrition approaches
• No active private practice or independent nutrition counseling business (to avoid conflicts of interest)

Strongly Preferred:

• Availability for evening appointments to meet patient demand
• CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) certification
• IFNA certification (IFNCP credential) or active enrollment in IFNA training
• Experience with root-cause nutrition interventions

Schedule Note: The client's operations are primarily in Eastern Time. Mountain Time candidates have the advantage of working standard daytime hours locally while providing essential evening coverage for East Coast patients. Administrative support is available 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST, with team meeting recordings provided for those in different time zones.
