Procurement Category Manager (Workplace and Marketing)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking a Procurement Category Manager specializing in Workplace and Marketing spend. This is a strategic role based in Paris, reporting to the Procurement leadership team. You will own cost optimization initiatives across indirect categories, driving measurable savings while scaling procurement operations in a fast-growth environment.

Our client operates across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East, partnering with enterprises in high-stakes sectors including finance, manufacturing, defense, and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Lead global negotiations on indirect spend categories to achieve measurable cost reductions
• Define and execute procurement strategies for Workplace and Marketing categories including workplace services, facilities, events, and marketing expenditure
• Manage existing contracts, tools, and supplier relationships including renewals and renegotiations
• Build and govern supplier panels to reduce fragmentation and improve compliance
• Rationalize tool usage and consolidate requirements with business stakeholders
• Own end-to-end procurement projects from RFP development through contract execution
• Support digitization of procurement processes through P2P tool implementation

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience as a Buyer or Category Manager, ideally covering Workplace, Marketing, or professional services categories
• Demonstrated success negotiating with large providers in competitive or challenging market conditions
• Strong project management capabilities to handle multiple initiatives and align cross-functional stakeholders
• Assertiveness and excellent communication skills to constructively challenge assumptions and build trusted partnerships
• Adaptability to thrive in dynamic, evolving technology environments
• Fluency in English; additional European languages a plus
