Platform Engineer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Platform Engineer to shape their central development platform in a modern hybrid multi-cloud environment.

In this role, you will:

• Design and continuously develop an internal developer platform in a hybrid multi-cloud environment
• Create standardized golden paths and automated self-services that support development teams in their daily software development processes
• Optimize developer experience in collaboration with development teams and reduce unnecessary technical complexity
• Integrate security, quality, and compliance requirements directly into platform services and CI/CD processes
• Design and optimize the software development lifecycle from commit to production deployment
• Establish FinOps practices and create transparency around cloud resource usage and costs

What We're Looking For

• Several years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevSecOps, or cloud engineering
• Proven track record of designing, building, or significantly evolving internal developer platforms
• Strong practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with cloud-native software development and ideally hybrid or multi-cloud environments
• Hands-on understanding of concepts including golden paths, self-services, infrastructure as code, and developer experience
• Strong conceptual thinking, abstraction capabilities, and structured working approach
• Confident communication skills with development teams and various technical stakeholders
• Fluent German language skills (minimum C1 level) and good English proficiency (minimum B2 level)
